The best uses for Tape Trade (right now)

A friendly reminder that Tape Trade is a lossless streaming and storage platform. After you upload, you can send your collections to anyone, anywhere, for easy streaming and download, or just review your own music anywhere the way it was meant to be heard.

This is a non-exhaustive list of our top five use cases, in no particular order.

1. DJing the open aux night

Playback out of dr*pbox and G*rive is terrible, Tape Trade let's you queue tracks and edit the queue like a normal person.

2. Sending your project to nana

Nana doesn't like the dark UX patterns in other apps. With Tape Trade, she doesn't need to create an account, dismiss a bunch of pop ups, or navigate a bloated UI.

3. Making sure the flow of the album is just right (it isn't) even in a 2007 Honda civic with front speakers blown.

You can't guarantee how people will listen to your music, but you can at least start strong by testing with lossless playback. 2007 Civics don't have CarPlay but the Tape Trade app is compatible, FYI.

4. Sending a demo to your perfectionist, estranged bandmate to convince them to help you record and master.

Oh you don't want to play anymore? That's cool. Here's what I've been working on if you have any feedback. Did I do OK on the vocals? I just used that mic you left behind. Is it ok if I publish under our band?

5. Sharing a copy of the D'Angelo cover of "Sometimes It Snows in April"
